Founding Partners

The idea for the Conference Awards and the Conference for the Conference Professionals was first conceived in 2009 by Rory Ross Russell and Claire Wormsley, ex-board members of informa UK and Incisive Media respectively. The Global Conference Network and the associated product is jointly owned by their companies R3 Ltd and The Media House.

The successful launch of the first Conference Awards in 2010 would not have been possible without the support of informa who are an honorary founding partner of the Global Conference Network. In particular Claire and Rory would like to thank Peter Rigby, CEO of informa, whose immediate enthusiasm for the whole concept was soon adopted by the other judges who took part in that inaugural event and have joined the panel for the 2011 and 2012 awards.
